Default Girl-dog's coming home on Friday

Furpaw said in part...
She's a Lab mix, about 40 lbs, short hair, cream with a dark snout,
about 1 year old.

I am so happy for you and the little girl dog. She reminds me a bit of
the birthday girl, actually a very little bit. Chica is 37 pounds and
almost 1 year old. I call her fawn with a black muzzle. If I had to
narrow it down I would call her a terrier mix.

I am not good with names either. I usually change their name a few
times before settling on one. I am sure you will come up with one that
suits her just fine.

She just doesn't know how lucky she is yet does she? I am thinking she
was sad when you left. Did you tell her you would be coming back?
Friday will be a joyous day.

Furpaw, this is just an FYI. I am sure you have already investigated
everything.

I had Chica spayed at the Neuter Commuter. It is a bus that the county
shelter performs spays and neuters on for a mere 25.00. Of course they
do not provide after care and to my surprise they did not provide pain
meds. My vet was kind enough to do that. Perhaps she would have done
well without them but I did not want to take a chance.

I have adopted a dog from the shelter in Ann Arbor and they spayed her
before I could take her. They had state of the art veterinary care and
even follow up care. That was many years ago. I am sure it varies from
shelter to shelter.

My best wishes to you and your new addition.

I hope her annoying little cell mate has the same good fortune she has
had and finds a home soon.
