We are on round 3 of the prednisone for the sciatic nerve he messed up. So
far the taper is going better than the last time. It's day 3 of the
tapering off and he's only having minor issues with his leg not anything
like it was the last time we did this. I'm holding my breath that I'm not
calling the vet again in a few days for more meds.

He's feeling well enough that he pushed the gate aside at the bottom of the
steps and came upstairs tonight,,,,,,,,,,which is a big NO NO he's not
allowed on stairs for a month or more. We have scissor gate propped between
the radiator and the bottom of the steps with just enough room for the cats
to squeeze through. The dogs have never pushed it aside before but he
figured it out apparently. So now the cats are down stairs and I bungy
corded it shut. If they want up they are going to have to squeeze between
the banisters for now to come and go upstairs.

I was going to wait till next pay day and order a permanent walk through
gate for the bottom of the steps but after tonight I decided to say the heck
with it and put it on my charge card for the time being. Once it gets here
I'll have Mike cut one of the rungs out so the cats can get through with out
any problems and still be able to Buddy off the stairs.
