After the Chinese pet food problem I started feeding my dachshund Pet's
Promise. I cook his main food but he eats about a cup of dry food every day
or so. I think I got the name of this food from this news group. Now they
are going out of business. So what would be a good dry food for him? Is
there any pet food that is not associated with China?

There are no good dry pet foods. You are much better of with cooking for
him.

There are many good dry pet foods. Labeling should tell you where the
food is manufactured, or contact the manufacturer and ask.

Read the ingredient labels. Kibble is full of grains which make dogs
sick. Anyone that thinks kibble is healthy shouldn't be allowed to have
dogs. I've seen serious diseases go away merely by eliminating kibble
from the diet, including my own Aussie who came to me with full blown
mange. Diabetes can disappear with a change to a species appropriate
diet as well.

It's hard to believe people actually defend kibble these days when we
know so much more about nutrition.
