I have a small Chihuahua, and I was wondering how often I should bathe
him. He doesn't spend a whole lot of time outside. He is only out
there long enough to use the bathroom then he is right back in. Is once
a week too often, or not enough?

I don't bathe our dog that often. There's something about their natural
coat oils and it not being good (unless there is a reason) to bathe too
often. How often is enough, varies a little with climate and conditions.
Like, a wet muddy spot may 'require' more often but mostly we wash ours
roughly monthly in summer. Winter, he goes to the 'doggie beauty parlour'
if something happens that he needs one (too cold here outside and too big
for the tub).

Some folks though use flea dips and such monthly and that seems ok.
