Anyone that calls heartworm "preventatives" medicine is naive at best and
unfortunately is harming his pets. They aren't even really preventatives
since the animal has to become infected first for the "medicine" to work.
Calling a pesticide medicine does not make it safer, it's just a delusion.

Advantix has two pesticides in it. The first is Permethrin. It is very
toxic to cats and some die simply from being around a dog that it was used
on. However, dogs are not immune to the toxicity and it can cause
seizures.

fairly safe but not what i use.
