And yet you are still not a better person after having done so. I guess you
didn't "get" the parts where making assumptions about people or relying on
hearsay backfired, while embracing every person's basic worth and treating
them kindly and without prejudicial judgment went far toward developing
meaningful dialog and mutual respect. But then you'll never be "half the
man" James Herriot was.

And I still recommend the book "Love Is The Best Medicine", by Nick Trout, a
veterinarian who recounts his experiences with two very special dogs.

Maybe you will learn something; if nothing else, possibly a better way of
interacting with other people, and perhaps dogs as well.
