I've been sick, crampy, grumpy, can't breathe, can't talk, can't eat, and
can't sleep for four days now. It seems there is no end in sight to this
thing. Husband caught it at the same time decapacitating the both of us.

Tuck has been a busy boy. Much sneezing and coughing. Tuck has been
bringing kleenex boxes from all over the joint, as well as extra blankets,
and has brought pre-filled water bottles and even the aspirin bottle. Took
him a couple tries, but he follows directions well. Also socks and slippers
were among his gifts and much appreciated. I have laryngitis and when I
couldn't call the horse for breakfast and didn't want to search in soupy mud,
in the fog, in my bedroom slippers, I sent him to find the horse. He's a
very good boy

Sorry you're both feeling so awful. Isn't there a law that says
both spouses can't be sick at the same time?

Wow, yes he is. All that training is really paying off for you!

Sorry to hear you and DH are sick. I would suggest taking as much Vitamin C
as you can tolerate, as it is a "healing factor" that dogs and other
animals can produce in large quantities for themselves, especially in times
of stress, while humans, simians, and Guinea pigs lack the gene that
enables the body to make it. There has not been too much research on this
lately, because big drug companies would rather sell expensive (and often
dangerous) designer medications to make huge profits, while Ascorbic acid
is cheap and totally non-toxic. I suggest a book called "The Healing
Factor: Vitamin C Against Disease", by Irwin Stone, with foreword by Dr.
Linus Pauling. Meanwhile, maybe do some research on-line.

I'm happy to hear Mr. Snappy-Grabby is being such a help during your time
of distress. He is truly a wonder dog. I hope y'all get well soon.

I think you meant incapacitated but I read it as decapitated. If you
did mean decapitated, that's one REALLY nasty bug you have there.

He is a very good boy. Did he also retrieve your head after the flu
induced decapitation? ;-)

I might, but i have none in the house, and I'm not driving 10 miles to get
some until I feel better.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. I know when I'm sick with flu
or a cold, I'd love to have someone decapitate me.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

You hope.

About 85 percent of the vitamin C consumed in the US was, by
2006, manufactured in China. According to the WSJ, "Today, China
is the OPEC of vitamin C."

I hope their vitamin C manufacturing standards and enforcement of
same are better than their wheat gluten standards.
