Hi y'all,
I had such a fun shopping day and wanted to share it. We set out to
find the new Petsmart. I have told the younger dogs they are getting a
new Cuz or Dino or the longest time.
First stop was Walgreen's Rx, after driving around and around to find
Petsmart. Since we couldn't find it, and I wasn't sure what the plan
would be, I picked up some Kitten chow, and 4 rawhide chewies, so at
least we wouldn't be empty handed. I got a "Milkbone" binkie for 10.00.
It is 36x27, red flannel, and a litte milkbone shaped squeaky toy. I
think it will be for Lady in the B.R. I also bought another 10.00 item
for Junie, it is one of those carpeted scratching posts with 2 levels
and a toy hanging from the top level. (something I said I would never
buy). I purchased some Nivea body lotion for me, it reminds me of my
daughter who has crossed over, so I get it every now and then so I can
smell her. I don't wear it all the time, because I so much enjoy that
first smell, after awhile.
Then I hit the local plant nursery for herbs. It was pretty well
picked over as far as varieties, but I got the last Catnip, 3 kinds of
Lavender, Chocolate Mint, Puerto Rican Oregano, Lemon Coriander, Oregano
and a couple more herbs. I got 2 cherry tomato plants and couldn't
resist 2 Red Ruffle Azaleas.
I knew what I had to do. Big Lots! I hit the store in a panic, it was
sparse in the pet supplies aisle, but I managed to snag a;
Pink paw print on white enamel, embellished with a pink rhinestone,
right in the middle of the paw print, of course it is for Lady's collar.
(Eat your heart out Ricki Lee)
Another binkie, this time a tan faux suede, round for a mere 15.00. I
did not decide who it was going to be for and Junie thinks it is his.
(the kitten)
The coolest "Gay Pride" collar for only 1.00. It is all rainbow
colors and trimmed in red. It looks best on Buck (he is black) but it
is big, so it may end up on Jack.
Then I picked up 3 giant bones, no one can put a dent in them. They are
real bones. I got a little one for Lady.
There were more toys and treats for dogs and cats, so I grabbed em,
some gourmet pizza and chicken flavored treats. I got a 2.00 squeaky
toy for Jubal, which will last for 2 minutes, but since he was expecting
a Cuz... I got some Oatmeal shampoo, only 2.00.
Oh did I tell you candles and more candles. Cookie Crunch, Custard
and baked apples, aieeee.
There was a little scuffle night before last, Bubba (my old cat) was
heading towards the door, to go out. Jack was laying in her path. She
always walks very carefully, as if she is expecting to be attacked.
Jack has always avoided her and Junie. I think he thought she was going
to attack him? There was a 10 second scuffle, lots of noise. I was
alarmed. Jack could have taken her out with one bite. I put him in his
crate, checked her out, she was fine. They both were scared of each
other, this situation warrants keeping an eye on.
Sorry, this is so long, I had a fun day yesterday and wanted to share
it, even though I should be outside washing dogs with the Oatmeal
shampoo or planting my herbs.

I was just reading the labels on the treats purchased at Big Lot's
before dispensing them to the dogs.
I have some "Oven Baked" Tradition soft and chewy treats from Canada.
They are the poultry and pizza flavored ones. The contents listed
include Omega 3 and Omega 6 (minimum amount). Matt, have you ever heard
of this product?
One of the other products is made in the USA. It is Harper's
Heartland Prime American Rawhide. (peanut butter basted).

Peanut wears a rainbow collar, but I don't know if it's the same style.
