Henry Hohler is a neutered 10 year old Cockapoo who will be turning 11
soon. He is extremely cute (not that I'm biased) with thick cream-
colored fur and bright brown eyes with very long lashes. He needs a
safe, consistent home with where he can comfortably and naturally live
out the rest of his senior years.
Unfortunately, Henry has a very short fuse. He is prone to snarling
and biting if he feels that you have invaded his space. His current
owners travel a lot and they have run out of kennels that will take
him in while they are away. Recently, Henry seriously bit a care taker
at a kennel. It is suspected that Henry was seriously miss-treated
while he was staying at a kennel when he was two or three years old.
That is roughly when his demeanor changed. He was an extremely sweet
and tolerant puppy. He liked to cuddle very much. It was even possible
to remove things from his mouth or move his food dish around while he
was eating without getting bitten.
Even now, when his anger passes, he can be very sweet and playful. He
is a seasoned car traveler. Henry is probably very intelligent. He
seems to be rather indifferent to other dogs and other animals. He
hasn't really had too much experience with living with multiple
animals in the same household. In the past, Henry has peaceably shared
space on occasion with an older, rather obese cat.
