Good news is, the puppies all appear to have found wonderful homes. Buddy/bear appears quite content with his big *brother*. And the other four pups are able to get together on occasion for a round of play. Dakota, formerly Carmel, and Blaize, formerly Wolfie, belong to the families of an adult brother and sister. And Dancer and Tundra belong to teacher & principal at the school where the child in Dakota's family attends. All say they are happy with their pups, pups are all housebroken and most importantly family members. We are so happy for them, and a bit melancholy seeing how they have grown. We miss 'em . As a side note, we think Dancers name is now Murphy. Caught me a bit off-guard when I heard that, as Murphy is the name of my departed *heart* dog. I included pictures of my Murphy, enjoying a swim, and pictures of both Gracie and Merlin on this page. I have to get a new photo of Merlin scanned. This is still the photo I saw of him on craigslist. The one that beckoned to me to call and give him a try. Something in that goofy expression of his *spoke* to me. td |

I don't know about you, but there is no way I'd ever be cut out for breeding. It feels like giving away a little piece of your heart. But so happy to see them, especially the photo's with their *kids*. That little boy was the one who fell immediately in love with carmel. And yes, she has some SERIOUS ears! I laughed when I saw them. |

You are batting a thousand when it comes to homes for puppies. That is not an easy thing to do, in a lot of ways. Thanks for the pics. Be Free.....Judy |

There are lots of reasons why we aren't cut out for breeding dogs, but I like to think that Beanie's puppies are valued. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't remark about how lucky we are to have our dogs so we hope their families feel the same way. From what we know, they do. Our friend who helped us find Bella occasionally sees the woman who gave her to us and we have a standing order for her to tell that woman just how much we love this dog. I wish more dogs could find good homes... |

We are so happy when the families send pictures of the pups, so we can see they are happy and look well-cared for. Plus, they include personal updates, things the pups have learned, where they like to sleep, etc. So we can get a feel for how much they are included as family members. Merlins eyes are a trip! His facial expressions are hilarious at times. Merlin has a way of looking at us that tells us exactly what he's thinking. And most of the time, according to Merlin, we feel as if we don't fare so well. ;-] When it comes to something like ear cleaning, bath time, or nail clipping, Merlin is always one step ahead of us. He is extremely observant and very astute at taking evasive action. I don't know if his over-all size comes across in photo's. He's got a big head, and stands 27" to his shoulders. So even though he has a *goofy* look, he does also look imposing to those who don't know him. Even so, strangers are drawn to him when we are out walking. They want to know about his eyes. td |

Robin was very good at suggesting the *right* pup for individual situations. Bear & Carmel went to the people who immediately fell in love with them at the first adopt-a-thon. The others though, were *suggested* according to various peoples' situations. The rescue that sponsored the pups care is aware that once the twins get just a bit older, Robin has expressed interest in helping foster other litters if needed. td td Be Free.....Judy |

I wish more dogs could find good homes... So do I. I was reading an article just yesterday about the Wake county shelter gassing dogs. http://wral.com/news/local/story/2553256/ The county is, if not the top, in the top two counties in this state as far as revenue. The fact that they still use a gas chamber for some euthanasia, and that they don't spay or neuter ALL pets before adoptions pisses me off. I didn't realize spay/neuter wasn't required prior to reading this. The south in general has a long way to go when it comes to animals. td |
