Default Dog Obedience Training and Behavior Problems

Hi, I am Alan H.
I have had a Jack Russell named Chivas (that's right, as in Chivas
Regal Scotch) for about three months. He is very loving, fun and
loyal. But, I've had a time with him barking, being hyper, digging in
my flowerbed, and trying to nip/bite at your ankles. Chivas is a very
friendly little dog who loves everyone she meets and shows it by
jumping up on them. Things had gotten to the point I thought about
getting a dog behaviorist.

In the past I had collies but Chivas is the first Jack Russell I have
owned. I tried the same training techniques that I used in the past
but they just did not work.

Being retired, I spend a lot of time on my computer and on the
Internet. Well, a few months ago I was searching on the Internet for
dog behavior problems solutions and that is where I found it. A
program that claimed it could teach me how to train Chivas and solve
over 25 behavior problems.

I must admit, Chivas and I have made some great progress and I believe
this program could help anyone who has behavior and training problems.

For more info on me and this program just go to my blog:

I doubt that very much.

Out of curiosity, has anybody here ever actually followed up
on these ads and bought something?

Right, but I'm wondering about the transient (or not) novice
dog owners - the folks who maybe buy books by people like
Bash Dibra or something, and know they want to train their
dogs but have no idea where to start. Maybe not quite so
internet-experienced that they've seen tons of these before
and figured out that this crap isn't on the up-and-up.

[Zorro update: the neurologists say that he's in critical
condition but expect that he'll eventually recover without
surgical intervention]

Obedience training doesn't solve all behavior problems, but it is the foundation for solving just about any problem. Training opens up a line of communication between you and your dog. Effective communication is necessary to instruct your dog about what you want her to do. You can teach her anything from 'stay' (don't bolt out the door) to 'sit' (don't jump) to 'off' (don't chew the furniture).
