But I like him escorting me on his arm, and opening doors, etc. It's just old fashioned courtesy. Making any more than that out of it is just silly. I certainly agree with you, diddy. In fact I can't think of anything nicer than walking arm in arm along the beach at night. We did that on our first date and still enjoy doing it today. Probably more so in many ways. We have a long and meaningful *history* behind us now. And yes, on a chilly night, I very much enjoy a warm, strong arm around my shoulders. Frankly, I know I will enjoy that until the day I die. I have no interest in wearing the jock strap in my family. Doesn't mean I don't get my *say* in. My husband would scoff at the idea I wasn't strong, stubborn and opinionated. Of course it's silly! And hypocritical, and mean-spirited, and petty. They just don't teach young-uns manners anymore In some circles, that's called "progressive." **** progressive. How does that work? which you requested in the first place, No, actually, I didn't. and then be smug that I "scold"ed you, is just ridiculous. Not smug. Oh, for sure you were. That word is, in my experience, almost universally used to scold women into meekly staying in their place. Well, **** *that*! And I haven't said anyone needs to conform to anything. Reread Melinda's post. By calling me a lady, then turning around and telling me that I'm *not* a lady, you are telling me that I have failed to conform to your definition of "ladiness." Whatever the hell that is. Where are you people reading this stuff?? Your posts. Who the hell is Paulette? Google is your friend.
