td, quite a family you have there. Poor Murphy before you got him (think
it was Murphy) he was so skinny. I have seen dogs skinnier than him
though. Horses to. He seems to have made quite a come back. Lucky he
found you. I enjoyed your album. Delta

I finally made an album of our Family Dogs. If anyone is interested,
there are a number of photo's of Whiskey in there. She is the dog who
has cancer now. She's been a wonderful dog, our second grandpuppy, long
before any of the granchildren were born. Her mother was a rottweiler
and her father a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She has coped well, going from an
only dog, to one of a pack, and then three little human brothers in under
two years time. We love her dearly.

best,

td

Tiny, I'm so glad to see all your photos finally! It's nice to put faces
with names, human and canine!

You have a handsome family, both human and canine. Not a dud in the
bunch!
Karla

Thank you Karla. Thinking back on it, we've never had a dog in our
family we didn't love. What I mean is, we've never had a dog we've thought
of 'sending back.' Oh a couple of them have been real *challenges* at
times, but certainly workable. The girls and families are all going to the
beach in a couple weeks, me and papa are going to have our hands full
dog-sitting the brood.

The only dog I don't have photo's of is Cooper, a big yellow lab. I don't
have any pictures of him scanned into my computer yet. Gotta get papa to
get that scanner up and running again. Cooper belongs to Kim's family.
He's really sweet, but needs some training. The last time we were at their
house, I kept Cooper onleash and attached to me while we were there. He was
a very good boy then. David has been trying to work with him an hour every
evening. But he has such a busy and time-consuming career, it's really hard
for him. I keep stressing the importance though.

Aww... Thanks for all the pictures.

I really enjoyed the pool pups, although all of the dog pics are fun to
see...

LOL, I love the pool pups too. They look so pleased and contented with
their lot in life, 'eh? And I love the pictures I have of Murphy in our
pool too. She used to love to swim so much. Brings back good memories of
her.

Yeah, that was Merlin. The first time I saw him in person, he reminded me
of a stick person. I couldn't get over how skinny and fragile his legs
looked. Now he's got nice muscular legs, a bit of meat on his bones. I
asked our vet about his weight now, and he said 'he looked to be at his
optimal weight'. Merlin stands 27 inches to his shoulders, so he is quite
tall. He's nearly 4 inches taller than Gracie is.

Thank you for looking at the pictures.

Aw! Merlin has a sweet face but Murphy kind of steals your heart with
those soulful eyes!

Thank you, we both loved Murphy so much. Soulful eyes is a perfect
description. She will always be my heart dog. It's taken 4 years for me to
be able to look at her pictures and not cry. Dh still doesn't like to
really *focus* on them. It's amazing how deeply one can love, 'eh?

Merlin is so goofy, in person. He watches everything, observes life, always
prepared to take evasive action. ;-) Especially when he sees the cotton
balls and ear cleaning solution appear. ;-)

How's that remodeling coming along?

Cute pics, cute dogs Murphy looks somewhat like our Shadow but without
all the graying in the snout. What type of dog was he?

The painting is almost done. It's taking a tad longer because DH decided
he didn't like the yellow and went back over everything and re-painted
everything white.
Then I got the crud and haven't had an awful lot of energy to help since
all I seem to do is cough.
It'll happen though: all in good time.

Sorry to hear you too have the crud. We've had it going on three weeks now.
Dh has been through two courses of antibiotics and is finally feeling as
though he's coming out on the 'other side'. I'm better, but still not as
good as him. I know what you mean, we had gotten a start on the painting
here, and then we simply pooped out, no energy. Dh finally forced me into
the doctors office. My blood pressure was 90 over 60, could barely keep my
balance to walk. It is some mean stuff.

Re the coughing. We tried the Vicks Vapo Rub on the soles of our feet. It
did seem to help, especially at night. You might want to give that a try.
Not even the codine cough crap helped the constant coughing, but that Vicks
did give both of us some relief. You slather it on the soles of your feet,
put socks on, and voila, within five minutes it's supposed to help you stop
coughing. It really did quiet both of us down, until our feet became so hot
we had to rip the socks off. Neither one of us can sleep in socks.

best,

td
