Default Can I help?

Hi

I'm a peer and have taken care of elderly parents, facing many of the
typical issues.

I'm involved in quite a bit of research relating to seniors and
elderly parent issues in anticipation of eventually launching a
related web site to assist families.

I share my research on my blog:

seniorcareunzipped.blogspot.com

If I can answer any questions or do some research on any issues
relating to aging or aging parents, I'd be glad to assist you and
possibly publish the answer on this blog.

Best of Health,
Ginny Dillon

Hey I'm a peer, too. In fact, I think I'm gonna go pee right now.

I checked it out, and it's not what I'd call spam. I'll have to look at it
in more depth at some point, but it looks like a useful site with a lot of
good links.

And given that I spent something like 10 hours of the last 48 dealing with
issues having to do with my parents, I WILL be going out and checking things
out more thoroughly.

( Mam is 86, in a nursing home; chronic issues include high blood pressure,
moderate dementia due to a frontal lobe stroke, severe oesteoarthritis,
oesteoporosis, and hardening of the arteries, current acute issue is "mild
pneumonia".
My father's 84, had the flu, got over it but was a bit dehydrated;
dehydration caused him to have a blood pressure drop when he got out of bed
this morning, blood pressure drop made him lose his balance and fall -
hitting the side of his face on on the edge of a chair. Driving my dad to
the emergency room wasn't exactly how I'd planned to spend my Sunday
morning....)

Looks like a 100% off-topic post from someone who doesn't
participate here and who's posted the identical article to
other newsgroups. Do you really want to encourage that kind
of behavior?

Oh, I can definitely relate. My issues are over and done with,
though, which is bittersweet - I no longer have to deal with those
issues, but then again M and P [1] are no longer around, either.

But: I agree with Melinda. It's seriously off topic, does not belong
here, and I've seen the same thing on at least two other newsgroups
today - which does, after all, fit the original USENET definition of
spam. [2]

Best of luck to you and your family, though.

[2] Google for "green card lawyers".
