Default Your dogs got out and they're running south...

That's what our neighbor the dog lady (she dog-sits) said as soon as I
answered the phone. I levitated out of bed, jumped into clothes, and
ran downstairs. I looked out the back door and saw... nothing. I called
to DH, who was loading some clothes in the washer. He wasn't dressed,
so I grabbed the car keys and was nearly out the door when I heard a
familiar noise. The noise of dogs pushing on the door because their
breakfast is late.

Evidently when I looked out into the back yard, I didn't see the little
buggers because they were near the corner of the fence, where they had
seen the two dogs who were running loose...

We still don't know who the two dogs were or where they belong, but I
did drive around for a while looking for them...

What a way to wake up in the morning! Glad to hear it was the wrong dogs,
but man, I bet that certainly got your blood pumping, 'eh?

I'm glad your dogs are home, and thoroughly enjoyed the riveting story

Yikes! That is *not* the sort of wake-up call one wants. EVAR! I'm
glad it was a false alarm and hope that the rest of your day has been
uneventful.

I'll say. Especially because they don't wear their collars if they are
in the house/yard.

Beanie did slip out past DH last week and we had one of those "act very
casual" moments. She returned immediately when called. I still don't
want to test her on that...

We are, too! It brought back not-so-great memories of the Duchess of Doodle!

So far, so good. We have to go out and so we have to convince Bella to
get out of the crate, so we can crate the Bean. We tried it the other
way around the other day and it didn't work out so well...

And I'm pretty sure that Beanie doesn't care one bit that eating a
whole bag of dog cookies upset her digestion...

Life'd be so boring without those two clowns.

Shortly after Jack got here he slipped out when I was
rolling a bicycle out the front door. He made a beeline for
the Land Crusher, so I ran over and opened the door and he
jumped right in. One time Crow let herself out the front
door and ran to the dog truck, then tried to jump into one
of the boxes (the doors were **** - hah!). And another time
Cinder slipped her collar while we were out for a run. She
decided that tag was more fun than anything, but a neighbor
who'd had Siberians himself was driving by, stopped, opened
the passenger-side door, and Cinder jumped right in. If
you're seeing a pattern there, you're certainly not alone.
It's nice to have dogs that are at least a little
predictable.

Isn't that feeling of relief the best.

It's waking up from a nightmare, it's finding the antidote for poison, it's
Christmas morning, it's your wedding day, it's that cop saying "Well, I'm
going to give you a warning this time".
