We're about halfway through (by my reckoning) the second class
offered by our club, and Baron has seen every obstacle save the
weave poles. At the moment we're working on sequencing obstacles
and communication between dog and handler.

Will you be
taking him to trials?

I expect to be able to trial him this fall, depending on how
things go from here on (particularly with those weaves). There
are a lot of clubs in the area, with a good number of trials
scheduled late this year and early next year, so I should be able
to get him some pretty good exposure just with day trips.

It's pretty cool, really. He's really taking to it with gusto,
and seems to be picking up on things faster than I am.
