Hello!
For many of us who travel with our pets, our biggest concern is what to do when they may need medical assistance, especially after-hours. I am not trying to 'sell' anyone a book but, because I've been in that situation I actually wound up writing a book called Pet E.R. Guide (A Directory of 24-Hour and After-Hour Veterinary Facilities in the United States). There are over 700 in this book as well as toxic and non-toxic plant info, evacuation info, and lots more. I was happy that the ASPCA gave me copyright permission to use their info and Trailer Life Publications published it. You can get it at bookstores and, if they don't have it, they can get it.
We were traveling recently and even had someone who ran out of their special dog food (purchased only at a vet office). It was friday night too. So, I pulled out the book and found a 24-hour vet they could contact for the dog food. So, now there is another reason to have the book.
If anyone does get the book (or has the book), I'd love to have your feedback so, feel free to write me. Thank you! I hope that helps! And, I hope you don't need any assistance on your wonderful trip! Melinda
