From his postings, it appears that Paul is in the "big bowl of food, left out, and junk food treats" mode. Certainly not doing that do any favors. Yep, some dogs just don't have an "off" switch on their appetites. Muttley looks like of these. You can't just "free feed" them; you have to measure out their meals to maintain their optimal weight and remember that treat calories add up. FurPaw -- The plural of anecdote is not proof. There seems to be a segment of "breed only" people who don't think that dogs need activity (or even training, for that matter). I was glad the fat ones were quickly eliminated, sending the message that overweight in a hunting/herding dog wasn't going to wash. If Muttley is a guard dog, perhaps Paul envisions Muttley as a bowling ball. When I saw Muttley last year, I told Paul that there was a weight problem. it's metasticised. Yet Paul is quick to berate overweight wpmen, so I sense he's somewhat critical of the problem |

Maybe men aren't appealing to him, and if they are less`attractive to women, it gives him a better chance? His friends all seem to be women. I think you just like tossing around that accusation. |

Maybe men aren't appealing to him, It's got nothing to do with appeal and everything to do with thinking you are entitled to pass judgment on a group of people. His friends all seem to be women. Men can be contemptuous and even hateful of women and still hang around with them. That's how they get their jollies. I think you just like tossing around that accusation. Not at all. It's just that there are a depressing number of men out there who hate women. -- Shelly http://www.cat-sidh.net (the Mother Ship) http://esther.cat-sidh.net (Letters to Esther) |

But just as equally, you are extremely quick to detect contempt for a class of people, when often the contempt is directed at an isolated individual who typifies behaviors historically associated with the gender. My best friend even blames her worst attributes on PMS (lets face it.. men shouldn't have that) I keep telling her that she's using PMS to make excuses for behaviors she is well aware that is innapropriate. A vast amount of women blame PMS rather than take accountability. |
