I haven't contributed anything to this thread, although now
that I've been invoked I'll add that your dog is far too
G-ddamn fat and that you could lose a few, yourself.

I expect that if you liked women more you'd be able to find
yourself a girlfriend. Since you asked.

Thanks for your expression of concern. Muttley ate very little and
exercised much over our long weekend, and I think he may have lost some
weight (the pictures were taken Saturday).

Don't take the weight off him too quickly. I mean,
seriously. What you're aiming for, or what you should be
aiming for, is a healthy dog.

Also?

He (and I) look especially wide on my monitor, because I
do not have the right video card and the images are stretched about 30%,
like in a carnival mirror.

And how do you think that affects other people, exactly? Do
you think that all these people are posting that your dog is
too fat because you can't get your monitor set up correctly?

Thank you for inviting me into this thread.

I don't know if you've seen the t-shirt that says something
like "It's not a hot flash, it's a power surge." I've been
basically free of them, myself, for which I'm grateful.

Could be your worker's misperception of age. But hot flashes do start
at widely variable ages, as does menopause. Even in the late 30s they
aren't unknown, just fairly rare.

Based on family history, very unlikely, not that I wouldn't be happy
to be proved wrong.

Anyway, it's more of a general WTF directed at this particular
coworker. I spend a lot of time quietly rolling my eyes in her
direction. That she said something similarly wacky to another
coworker was icing on the Crazy Cake.

Why couldn't I have hot flashes when it was freezing, when
they would have been useful?

Because that would be too easy!

Here's what's actually out there.

A large number of men who hate particular women, and a large number of
women who hate particular men, and a very, very small number of both
sexes who hate the opposite sex as a group.

What's depressing?

The large number of women and men out there who can't tell the
difference.

For crissakes, Schoen, it doesn't take a vet to know that Muttley is
slowly but surely becoming the Goodyear blimp.

And it's STOOPID to only be concerned with how much he's gained since
January, because it's equally obvious that he had to be approaching
blimp proportions back in January (yes, even if your vet didn't say
anything about it!), unless you've had his mouth strapped to a sausage
machine for the past few months.

Just be concerned that he's getting fat fat fat fat, which he is. And
any vet who tells you otherwise should have his license to practice
veterinary medicine suspended.

Are you really this dense?

Your dog is going to DIE a premature death.

Every time I start to think that there may yet be hope for you, you
start sounding like a moron again.

I think he has some bully breed in his ancestry, which
may affect his proportions. He does not look as fat "in person" as he does
in those pictures. He (and I) look especially wide on my monitor, because I
do not have the right video card and the images are stretched about 30%,
like in a carnival mirror.

Oh, jeez. Back to making really stupid excuses for His Lardness.

Unless one or more of his ancestors was this lovely breed...

Shelly (and Melinda) seem to get off on unwarrented criticism, and they
will search and pick like hungry chickens to find some isolated comment
that they can use to continue their diatribes. Probably due to their own
misanthropy and poor self-image.

I have many female friends, and most are either rail thin or in various
stages of obesity. These physical traits do not make them attractive, but
their kindness and intelligence make them dear friends. And I can discuss
(and even kid about) their weight and other problems without being mean,

FWIW women generally don't appreciate 'kidding' from others about their

Don't do that. Really. It's not helpful.

Good grief. He isn't (and shouldn't) lose enough weight in one
weekend to make a difference.

I will take him to the vet to
make sure he has not put on too much since he was last weighed in January,
when he was 82 lb.

It's not about the pounds, and how much he weighed in January is
irrelevant.

I think he has some bully breed in his ancestry, which
may affect his proportions.

Bullshit. Your dog is seriously overweight, and it has nothing to
do with any possible "bully" ancestry (at least you gave up that
silly "he's an Anatolian" crap). I have a dog with actual bully
ancestry, and guess what? She's nice and trim.

So, you, but no one else, can make fun of someone's weight, and that's
okay, right?

What a hypocritical **** you are.

I'm so disappointed that the Democratic primaries are almost over.

It's been great entertainment!

I so enjoyed watching the haters and hypocrites on both sides.

And how anyone in the Clinton camp who had the audacity to criticize
Obama was immediately branded a racist by the Obama camp, and how
anyone in the Obama camp who had the audacity to criticize Clinton was
immediately branded a sexist by the Clinton camp.

And yet you wonder why there's so much animosity today.

What a bunch of hateful, hypocritical maroons you all are.
