Dontcha know that puppies and babies are just natural buddies? How surprising that a 12 week old puppy would use a child as a chew toy. Idjits! -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |

Suja "Thinking she might be in trouble, the mother and a neighbor cleaned the estimated 100 puncture wounds at the home rather than seeking treatment from doctors." "He (Officer Ryan Smith) told the 32-year-old mother that she was to take the child to a hospital or he would." Here's someone who should be compelled to go to parenting classes, but that still won't instill a lick of common sense. Evidently the injuries were all minor - the result of the puppy attempting to play with the baby, but it is amazing that this mother never thought that leaving the puppy and the baby alone together might not be a good idea. We have a neighbor who would fit into this category perfectly, so I have seen first-hand this type of thinking. I blame her parents to begin with, but this woman simply has no capacity for growing a clue. And she has five children. |

The puppy couldn't have inflicted over 100 puncture wounds in the time it took for the mother to *hear* the baby scream and respond. Either she left the child alone in the house with the dog, or she was drunk or high and needed time to clean up evidence or sober up. Hopefully social services will have this mother on their radar now. td |

I hope the puppy, and the baby, end up in safer hands and hearts. _______________________ "Only two things are infinite, the Universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." --Albert Einstein |
