Default Don't DO that to me!! or, how to have a heart attack without even trying...

After work today, I detoured a few miles to pick up some items from a
Freecycler. I put the items in the back of the van, left the small street,
and had just turned onto a major street**, when suddenly Brenin began to
thrash about and howl in a horrible way. There was nowhere to pull off, so
I drove down the street as carefully as I could, trying to reassure him
verbally... thinking "Oh my God, what's wrong, is it a siezure, is he
dying...." Up ahead, I spotted a VFW, pulled into the back of the parking
lot (by this time he was huddled on the back seat shaking, no longer
howling), leapt out of the door, ran around the van and pulled open the
passenger door....

To find that the big dork had somehow managed to step on the bull snap that
fastens one of the dog seat belts (which I wasn't using) in JUST the right
manner to get it caught on the web between the toes of his back foot....
wasn't even pinching him that hard.

Near as I can tell, he'd gotten his foot into it while sitting on the seat,
then tried to move down onto the floor, and freaked out when the Evil
Seatbelt Monster grabbed him. Sheesh!!

**For those who know the area, I was in Parkville, on Harford Road.

Give the guy a break - he's "senior" ! Silly boy. Glad you're both ok.

Weird things happen in Parkville, especially near Putty Hill. Or in Double
Rock Park, along the fence by the graveyard...

LOL.
This sound like something Tok would do. He has very fuzzy pants and if
something gets caught in them he FREAKS out running away from it so that you
can't catch him to fix the problem.

Twice, Lucy has had major freak outs when a slug was caught up in her
fur. From her crying, shaking & cringing, I thought she was seriously
hurt but each time she calmed down only after I picked off the slug.
And they weren't even big ones like they have in the NW - these are your
average east coast garden slugs - maybe 2 inches at the most.

Lucy is normally one tough B*tch but I have to say her reputation was
knocked down several pegs after each slug incident.

Chris and her smoothies,
Lucy, Fawkes & Bree the spare
