Well, I was mistaken, and if you want to characterize my error as a "lie" I expect that says a lot more about you than it does about me (and certainly makes it unambiguously clear just how descriptive "tiny" is). And I'll admit when I'm mistaken rather than do backflips trying to explain why my mistake wasn't actually a mistake, which is your standard operating procedure. That you don't appear to know the difference is telling. Well, an apology *was* offered, albeit with qualifications and weasel words. I don't expect Melinda will ever apologize to me, and certainly I seem to trigger an instant knee-jerk negative reaction with anything I post (including, probably, this). I also admit to sometimes "pushing buttons" to get a reaction, and maybe that's not a very nice thing to do, so I apologize if that has offended anyone. I try to keep things positive, and humorous, but sometimes things just get to me, and I have to get a jab in. Melinda seems to be softening her approach a little bit, and I can appreciate her obvious concern for Muttley's well-being, but she seems to lack some compassion, patience, understanding, and trust when it comes to people. Why can't we all just get along like cats, dogs, squirrels, rabbits, birds, and other species? Well, some of them, sometimes, anyway ![]() Paul and Muttley |

No, I honestly forgot the original post and thought we were talking about the post where I made fun of you for encouraging spammers and having ghastly taste. But hey! You're never incorrect about anything, so you're not incorrect about this! Or your latest trick - denigrating the folks whose posts you copied to your website without their permission, when they ask you to remove them. That's a really snotty thing to do. so I apologize if that has offended anyone. I find it offensive, and it's generally not my buttons you're trying to push. : Yet it was *you* who took the opportunity to belittle, demean, mock and diss a perfectly innocuous post that *some* of us find a pleasant distraction. Good for you. Other people might find it a disruptive intrusion by someone who has no actual interest in participating in this group. Sorry, but I disagree. If Melinda hadn't been criticizing, making fun of, mocking, and belittling almost everything I say here, I would agree with you, that a mistake had been made and I would have accepted an apology. In fact, it would have been a non-issue to begin with, because I don't tend to follow people around for the sake of sport criticism. Melinda said *I* was the reason she belittled this poster in the first place. I pointed out she belittled this poster long before I even read this thread. Now I don't know about you, but it isn't my style to mock or belittle *new* posters on *any* group I've ever posted on. My SOP is to be welcoming to anyone unless and until they prove to be otherwise unacceptable. ymmv, td -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |
