Of all of the dogs I've had an all of the surgeries they've
had I've never had a problem with a dog messing with
sutures. It happens, obviously, but I tend to think your
vet will have a good sense about that.

I'm glad he's home and doing well.

So tomorrow when you know more you'll post an update, yes?

Oppie's home, minus an eye, somewhat disoriented, but otherwise
seemingly ok. The vet said the surgery went well.

So glad to hear that! Continued good wishes for a speedy recovery.

keeping an eye on him (so to speak), letting him sleep it off.

Continued uneventful, speedy recovery.

Thanks (everyone!) for your concern and good wishes.

Glad to hear he is home and all went well. I don't know about the need for
the collar. I'd just watch him closely and if he seems to be having
problems with it, call the vet back. Like Karla said, my dogs usually rub
their faces/eyes with the sides of their paws.

best,

Glad things went well. Thanks for the update. I'd say just watch him. Not
much help, huh!
