Default Update on the American Eskimo

Matt said in part...
Dogs and food always worked for me as lures....

Matt,
I know there is nothing humorous about Bear's situation. I couldn't
help but laugh when I read the few words you posted because "Dogs and
food always worked on me as lures"...... (An abandoned dog or a Pizza
will get me everytime)
Your suggestions for the dogs you have worked with are very helpful
and very sad. Some days ya gotta laugh to keep from crying.

Jim:

You have a long haul in front of you, but if you can make it to the end
you will find that its worth it. You seem to be started in the right
direction at the right pace. Keep it up and let us know what sight you
see along the way, or if you get lost and need some directions.

Except I wrote "Dogs and food always worked "for" me as lures," etc.

Matt,
I am sorry I upset you so. I did quote you exactly. I understand
what you said and was not trying to misquote you in my "reply". I admit
it does sound like that because I used quotes, another grammatical error
on my part. I thought the fact that food and dogs lure me was funny. I
was not trying to change your words.

I did quote you exactly.

You did not.

Actually, Matt, she did, at the top of her post, both quote you exactly and
give correct attribution.
Problem was is, she put quotation remarks around the line she was
attributing to herself in the reply; which was nearly identical to what you
said, which made it *look* like she was re-quoting you and got it wrong the
second time.

FWIW, I hit that line the first time, thought "Say WHAT? Matt didn't say
that.", then went back to the beginning of the post, re-read and realized
what she was actually trying to say.

Then again, I've done a fair amount of editing work, and am both accustomed
to and skilled at figuring out what people *meant* to say rather than what
they actually wrote....

Anyway, long post but I thought I would let people know what happened.

Thanks for the update!
I haven't posted much on the subject (because I didn't have much advice to
offer), but am very interested in the situation and Bear's progress.
Good luck, and keep us posted if you can.

Hey pal! You about ready for Saturday? I've got my bags packed, my
hotel reservation is all set for Friday and Saturday night. I'm
bringing along three of my Army friends just because they've never
been there, so greet them with a big "HOWEDY" when you meet them!

So, we are all set then?

This is gonna be FUN to finally meet the famous puppy wizzzard! Are
you excited?

I offered to bring Muttley down to FL so Jerry could show me just "HOWE" he
would nearly instantly make him wonderfully obedient by telling him "Good
Dog" and shaking his cans full of pennies all over the place. But I think
he was afraid of my big bad dog, and he was not willing to meet me. I was
even thinking about getting a camcorder and making a video that all could
see, but the Poopy Wizard is really fowl (probably a chicken-turkey), and
bailed.

Well he is really just an internet creep/bully.

I actually will be there to meet him, but he can only bully people on
the internet. If he doesn't show up, I have a little vacation...so no
problem. He won't show up - he's a complete coward.

He's afraid of me. He'll sit naked in his pee-stained chair and
hide.

Let's see if he shows up to back up his tough talk...
