Is that tied to the notion that if you *are* married you get to fling manure at other people's life choices? (Insert reference to caged, bored simians). Marriage must be groovy! [I wouldn't normally jump in like this, but I was provoked by (a) attending a very traditional wedding this weekend and (b) the supposed "new face of feminism."] I, personally, am delighted that the GOP now thinks that it's wonderful to be a feminist. I'm looking forward to them actually extending that to supporting feminist policies. -- Melinda Shore - Software longa, hardware brevis - Prouder than ever to be a member of the reality-based community |

Melinda! You seem not to realize that not marrying means that a woman's opinion simply does not matter. It's not as if we're all human beings or anything like that. Gee, Catherine. All the despicable things that Melinda has called TD, her many digs at TD's relationship with her husband, etc., and you can only manage to get your panties twisted up over TD's in-kind reference to old maids? How fair-minded of you! It's just a hunch, but I bet that TD doesn't give a **** whether someone decides to get married or not. However, she also probably doesn't cotton to having her relationship with her husband constantly belittled and ridiculed by a platoon of militant man-hating harpies and harridans. In fact, I think it's pretty cool when she tells them to stick it where the sun don't shine. Do we really need to hear the details of her warped little relationship? Thanks, but no thanks. I'm definitely not a man hater, assuming that man is a rational and sane human being. And I sure don't post TMI type posts about my DH. How crass can you get? Really, she needs to take that stuff to private e-mail. -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |

Is that tied to the notion that if you *are* married you get to fling manure at other people's life choices? TD's never suggested anything of the kind. A quick trip down Memory Lane will show you (and anyone else who's interested) that this all started with your (and Shelly's) objections to TD's more or less traditional relationship with her husband, which actually is none of your ****ing business. I, personally, am delighted that the GOP now thinks that it's wonderful to be a feminist. The GOP has always supported true feminism, i.e., equal opportunity for women. But given the recent outcry from the Democrats regarding Sarah Palin's life choices, it's pretty obvious that the Democrats are now against a woman's right to live her life in the way that *she* chooses to live it, instead of living it in a way that a bunch of self-centered, bitter, angry, man-hating harridans and lesbians approve of. Which is always good to know. PS: TD and I may even disagree on this, but at least we disagree agreeably. -- Handsome Jack Morrison The Incredible Shrinking Obama. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl...alComment/home The Drumbeat. http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/..._drumbeat.html Prayer, God and War: The Media Elites v.
