Default Hip problems

My Lab/Rott and Corgi both have tender hips. I am giving them glucosamine
and aspirin in the recommended doses. I'm about out of both. The aspirin
is a dog variety, with a dog label. Same with glucosamine.

I need to replenish the supply. Is there anything I should know about
glucosamine and aspirin for dogs? Obviously, dose by weight, but are there
different kinds and grades? And as per price, is there a better (translates
cheaper) place to get comparable medicines without paying more than
necessary. Gimme a quick course.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Are you doing this under a vet's supervision? Aspirin is very corrosive
to dog digestive systems. It's not generally the drug of choice for
relieving arthritis pain. Talk to your vet about one of the new NSAIDs
for dogs. Some of them have potential side effects you need to explore,
but overall they're more effective and less harmful than aspirin.

As for glucosamine, I like Glycoflex, but you'll get a million answers
on this.
