This is Harriet's bed in my studio, and this is what she does while I'm
paining. I love how how her nose is tucked under her front leg, and her
back leg is slung over the side of the bed. You can't really tell, but
her foot is dangling just above the floor. Oh, and her bottom, rear
foot? It's under her chin. Pretzel dog is bendy.

There's still some bruising, but it doesn't seem to be painful. I'm
curious about how much of the scar will show when her hair has
completely grown back. I'm impressed by how much it's faded already.

The incision looks great! She sure knows how to get comfy, even if you
won't get her a decent size bed! Dog abusing thug.

Poor dog, having to sleep in a cat bed!

Dog abusing thug.

Oh, it's worse than that. I trimmed her nails and gave her a bath last
night. Without peanut butter. And then I scrubbed her head with
no-rinse dog shampoo (I don't wet her head in the tub, because I don't
want to risk getting water in her ears). And then I filed her nails, so
they aren't scratchy.

Oh, and the worst, most abusive thing of all? I was out of Dr.
Bronner's, so I used 7th Generation dish detergent on her. Lavender and
mint. I will probably do so again, too, as it is mild and rinses
easily.

I need to find someone to report you to.

Oh yeah - did I mention I'm going to see a pack o'boxers tomorrow? 4 of
them. The eldest was Franklin's buddy. There is some household strife
that has escalated with one bitch in heat.

Oh my! That sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen (as if four
Boxers weren't nightmare enough, that is). I hope you're able to help!

The youngest male (intact and staying that way) is the son of the bitch
in heat. He is resource guarding the owner big time. There is also an
elderly mixed breed in the house. The bitch in heat is being kept away
from the rest of the pack, but there is a lot of stress! The other
bitch and dog are both altered, as is the mixed breed.

Ugh. That's a serious pain in the ass to deal with.

What a mess! Boxers can be so bloody unreasonable and cranky with other
dogs.

Seriously! She could at least treat her to a french manicure if she's
not the red type!

Except that she chews her feet mercilessly. (Hence the yucky red
staining.)
