Lately, and with some intrepidation,

"Intrepidation" is not a word.

Funny, that slid right by me, so with great trepidation, I had to
look it up. Too bad it's not. It's a much better word that
intrepidness and intrepidity.

"Plonk" is not in most dictionaries, yet we know what it means.

Cheap, inferior wine?

And you felt the need to point this out because...?

And besides, while it may not be an officially recognized word, it is a
highly evocative combination of two that are. And we all knew what he
meant.

So why don't you and your dictionary just trot off into the sunset now?

Such slide by me on a regular basis. I knew what Michael meant.

An anonymous poster nitpicking one word is immediate killfile
material. I don't have the inclination to deal with assholes
like "news."

And yet perhaps it should be. And perhaps it will be.

It sure is both descriptive and understandable.

Sheesh. Next you'll be telling me ginormous isn't a word. Or squick.

(And BTW - before I hit "send" on this, my speel chucker objected to sheesh,
ginormous and squick. But not to intrepidation. Go figure.)
