Default garlic

I am sure I have read that garlic was not good for dogs. I was watching a
dogs 101 today and they were mixing garlic in the dog's food and said it was
also good for preventing fleas. Is this correct?

Garlic positives are more colloquial than factual, including
flea prevention. I have no idea what "dogs 101" is, but garlic
and onion are somewhat related and are not good as a regular
part of your dog's diet.

Thank you. Dogs 101 is an excellent weekly show on the animal planet
channel. It is an hour long and each week they focus on different breeds.
They tell us a little history of the breed plus the strengths and
weaknesses.

I've only seen bits and pieces of it but it struck me as a remake of the old
Animal Planet program "Breed All About It'. Except that instead of a half
hour show on just one breed, they do an hour with three or so.
