I think Miss Brown has been colluding with Carmine.

I got no sleep last night. I don't mean that I got just a little sleep,
or that my sleep was interrupted, or that I could have slept better. I
got *no* sleep. Every time I started to drift off, Harriet started
kicking me. And not little kicks, either. They hurt! I finally got so
disgusted that I shoved her off the bed, but that didn't help, because
she just got right back up and kicked me some more. I'm pretty sure I
yelled at her, too, which is something I never, ever do. I might feel
badly about it, if I weren't so damned tired.

If she pulls that crap again tonight, she's going to find out what it's
like to spend the night in her crate.

UGH... I'm sorry. nothing like being tired on a Monday.

Hannah had to be ON me last night. she's not feeling well. I did not
get much sleep between Hannah ON me, and my DH snoring... how the dogs
can sleep with that noise I'll never know.

she always kicks right? last night was just worse?

Poor Hannah, and poor you!

Harriet slept on me once. *ONCE*. I woke up, lying on my stomach, with
her curled up *on* my back. I couldn't breathe and I couldn't move. I
just about had a panic attack, trying to get her off me. She hasn't
done that since.

how the dogs can sleep with that noise I'll never know.

Harriet's kind of, um, special, but she can and will sleep through
anything. Once she's out, even shaking her doesn't wake her up. So
sleeping through snoring? What snoring?

She's usually very well behaved when sleeping on the bed. No hogging,
no kicking, and no snoring! I don't know what the hell got into her
last night.

In fact, she usually curls up next to me and rests her head on my
stomach or side or back. She's a wonderful hot water bottle.

Nope. Just a bog-standard boring weekend at home.

Tell Harriet to come on over; I'll put up with all her little habits even
if her meanie owner won't...

You may regret that. You have *no* idea what you're in for!

On the plus side, she was making crazy play bows at the cat yesterday.
She's pretty tolerant of cats, but has never tried to play with them
before. I may have to reconsider my no-more-cats policy.

How did the old lady respond?

Nonplussed. If it doesn't somehow involve food or a comfy place to
sleep, she doesn't want to hear about it. And, I'm not sure she's ever
been too interested in learning to speak dog, so she wouldn't have clue
one what a play bow means. As far as she was concerned, the dog woke
her up from a perfectly good nap.

My EELB is trying to foist off a cat on me. I'm half-way considering
it*, even though I said no more cats and especially not any while
Methuselah is still around. But, this cat is a stray. They're in no
pets housing, but they're sneaking her in on cold nights. The final
straw for me was that she's declawed. A declawed cat has no business
being stuck outside.

*More like 85%. If she's still there when I go up for Festivus, I'll
bring her home with me.

Sounds good. You love cats, and this one needs you! What a happy festivus
present. But before you acquiesce, you should put your brother through some
paces, such as the feats of strength.
