When Buddy was a young dog, I took him to a public park. He was walking in
some grass that needed to be mowed. A fellow saw him, and in a great
Forrest Gump impression (it was his real accent) he asked, "Whut happened to
his LAIGS?" Emphasis on the word LAIGS.

I said, "Oh, before the industrial accident, he was a bomb sniffing dog at
the airport."

The fellow said, "Ahhhhhhhhh", and looked like he was going to cry. But
then caught the joke.

Today, Buddy was coming in out of the snow, and I thought of that. With his
short legs, he leaves what looks like a slug slime trail through the snow.
