Ah..., does strange human come to mind?????
"Shelly" wrote in message ... One of my pet sitting clients boils the water she gives her cats, to make it easier on their kidneys. I forgot to ask her what, exactly, this is supposed to achieve, kidney-wise. Any ideas? It seems to me that filtering it--which she does *not* do--would be more helpful than boiling, because it would remove some of the heavy metals and minerals. (And presumably, it's not onna counta pathogens, as the humans drink their water unboiled.) -- Shelly http://www.cat-sidh.net (the Mother Ship) http://esther.cat-sidh.net (Letters to Esther) |

There are medical conditions in which short term negative ion water may be beneficial. But it's my understanding (no cites, I'm sorry) that distilled water can actually be harmful because it attracts and leaches minerals from your body. Wrong once again! http://www.wcponline.com/PDF/0705%20distilled.pdf Interesting article. He didn't really set my mind at ease re. the 'leaching' aspect though. My feeling is more along the lines that the process if it takes place is insignificant. (from the point of view of relative concentrations). What you should be worried about is water with fluoride in it. Why? Dale |

Hopefully it made you curious enough to do a little research on your own. What you should be worried about is water with fluoride in it. Why? It can cause birth defects, ADD, cancer, osteoarthritis, suppresses thyroid function, and a lot more. http://www.holisticmed.com/fluoride/ It's actually banned in a lot of countries. http://www.fluoridation.com/c-country.htm Dale |

The boil water person probably read something in an email
that was floating around. -- Christopher A. Young Learn more about Jesus www.lds.org .. "Robin Nuttall" wrote in message news:vtw6l.447927$TT4.205561@attbi_s22... But, if the water supply in her town is basically safe, wouldn't leaving the minerals in actually be healthier than taking them out? |
