Apolo123 I'm a concern dog owner too, which is why I have always done a lot of research on dog foods so that I could make well-informed choices. There is a great deal of free information about dog food available - why would anyone want to buy it, especially from someone who can't spell? |

Check out my website you won't be sorry you did! Go to www.normgilmore.com. good luck with your dog problems. Apolo123 I am feeding my dog crap in a bag. He loves it. Thanks. In fact, he loves crap sooo much, he runs out to the pasture and dines on horse poop , duck poop, and chicken poop every chance he gets. The horse also eats crap in a bag. Crimped corn, whole oats, and vitamins and minerals. It must be good ****. Because everything on the farm prefers cleaning up her unprocessed crap. The ducks, chickens and dogs all would rather eat her poop than anything authorized that I feed them. I don't like it. But what's a girl to do? Makes the best eggs ever though! Woohoo! Sounds like you got your dog from the same shelter as I got mine. I worry about what to feed them, and then watch them as they cruise the pasture and eat every organic thing they can get their lips around. Bleccckkkkkkkk! And then come want to lick you. Double Bleccccckkkkkkkkk! Steve |

The other is a loveable mutt we got from the shelter. Next dog I get will surely be a shelter dog. Steve |

She was merely pointing out that dogs don't have to come from less-than-ideal beginnings to love disgusting stuff. One of mine is a pedigree, and such a nutcase I call him "Butthead." The other is a loveable mutt we got from the shelter. Next dog I get will surely be a shelter dog. "Pedigree" is such an odd term used this way. One of my dogs came with a "pedigree" that is about as useful as toilet paper. Another came with a very nice one full of useful information. The difference between well bred and puppymill bred. The 3rd didn't come with anything but her adoption papers, but she's wonderful. They'll all eat disgusting things - no difference in them at all. Oh yeah - 2 are from a shelter. -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |

She was merely pointing out that dogs don't have to come from less-than-ideal beginnings to love disgusting stuff. That's right. Thank you Janet. side note: I have had shelter dogs. And they are wonderful. What you see is what you get. You don't have to wonder if they are going to be great with kids, or be great dogs. You know before you adopt. But sometimes you are looking for something specific for a specific purpose. And there is nothing wrong with a dog specificly bred to do that purpose. I mean.. The hubble telescope is just a mirror. So why did they go through millions of dollars to create it. wouldn't just any old mirror do? When you are looking for a specific dog, you go to a breeder. When you are looking for a specific mirror, you go to Corning Glass. |

Only if you choose an adult shelter dog and choose wisely. Too many people mistake a sick dog for a "calm" dog, etc. OTOH, the adult shelter dogs I've adopted have been exactly what I was looking for at the time and very much WYSIWYG. Puppies from shelters are a huge crap shoot IMO. But sometimes you are looking for something specific for a specific purpose. And there is nothing wrong with a dog specificly bred to do that purpose. LOL - a mirror and a few very specialized instruments (more familiar with it than the average joe). OTOH, I agree with choosing dogs for specific purposes. Their primary purpose (for me) will always be companion, but the activities they are suited for allow us to have a more interesting life together. -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |
