I would like to wean my eight year old Chihuaha mix (about 12 pounds)
and three year old Lab mix(about 70 pounds) off of canned food and
exclusively on dry food. At present i feed the small dog about 1/4
canned food and about 1/2 cup dry food split between morning and
evening, plus a few treats in between. The large dog gets about 3/4
can and one cup dry food and some treats in between. Should i
gradually cut back the canned food and add a little more dry food over
about a two week period? Also, what would be the proper proportions of
dry food when they get 100% dry?
