Default surprising behavior

Both Tuck and Reka are being treated for giardia because they prefer
drinking duck tainted water over fresh clean. I guess flavored is better.

Because they are both taking yucky medicines, I thought I'd give them a raw
meaty rib bone to clean their palate before breakfast.

So they took their pills, one dutifully, one with typical resistance.
I gave them each a bone, and then sat down their breakfast kibble.

The dilemma had surprising results. Both dogs put down their bones, looked
at the kibblein their bowl, went back to their bone, went back to their
kibble, ate their kibble, and took their bones off to private corners for
consumption.

NOT the expected results at all.

When Tuck breaks a bone, it's time to take it from him. He usually
voluntarily surrenders his bone when he first cracks it, anticipating that
it's time for me to take it from him. Yesterday he had a bear bone that he
was very much enjoying, when all of a sudden it CRACKED!

And Tuck jumped and ran about three steps, came back and looked at the
bear bone, and woefully and dutifully brought the bone to me for disposal.
I wonder what was going on in his mind.

I think he's thinking: "OH CRAP!!"
