"Victek" wrote in message ... We're trying out DAP to see if it will help calm our dog. We have the dispenser that plugs into an AC outlet. My question is does the dispenser need to be plugged in continuously to be effective, or can it be plugged in just during the time the dog is alone? The unit didn't come with much documentation and it's not clear how long it takes to start emitting the pheromones. TIA Ok...I have read about 11 posts here. What in the world is DAP? Petey's Mom |

I thought it sounded like the PERFECT career for you. One of these days, you'll figure out how to turn a buck from your skill. Until then, we'll just keep posting questions and timing you on how fast you find the answer :-) Good to have you back, BTW. How's little miss princess pants? Lunging on the couch next to me as I type. She's come a long way from the "attempted cat killer" days of her youth. I've been doing a ton of kitten fostering for a rescue group since last summer. Turns out she's an incredible "foster Mom" for the little orphaned babies! Which is good, cuz she helps with all the stuff I'd really rather not do (time for elimination stimulation? "Oh Annnniiiiieee! Come see the baby.") Awesome pooch. I'm headed out west to visit a friend. He really REALLY wanted me to bring her, but- like a dope- I had already booked my flight on Continental not realizing I couldn't bring her with me. But, never having flown a dog, I'd have been a nervous wreck anyway. I read about Khan's temper issues. How's he doing? And Miss Pan? Is she still the tender little Doe that she always was? |

Until then, I do the googling for those who should be perfectly capable of doing it for themselves (Yes ELB, I'm looking at YOU!). Turns out she's an incredible "foster Mom" for the little orphaned babies! Awwww! Which is good, cuz she helps with all the stuff I'd really rather not do (time for elimination stimulation? "Oh Annnniiiiieee! Come see the baby.") Ewwww! Hope she brushes her teeth before giving you any kisses. I had already booked my flight on Continental not realizing I couldn't bring her with me. Continental doesn't fly dogs? Or is it weather related? Is she too big to fit into something that can be carried on board (assuming that's allowed)? I read about Khan's temper issues. How's he doing? Sassy. And hairy. The vet tech described him as having nine coats of hair. That'll teach me to fret about how he was going bald. And Miss Pan? Is she still the tender little Doe that she always was? More now than ever before. We had our first real snow today. She went out this morning, went 'WTF? Get this crap offa me!' and came running back. She's gone out once to do her business real quick (before her widdle toesies froze to the ground, I'm sure) and hasn't moved from the couch since. I keep asking her if she wants to go out, and I think she's afraid that I'll make her if she even moves an inch. Kinda like how I can sense some dog hovering and staring just waiting for me to show that I'm somewhat waking up, so they can get into bed and hog the covers. Suja |
