Thank you NW1 I sincerely doubt you'll find one in the US. There are many breeds of dogs in the world. Is there a particular reason why this is the "one"? Have you ever known any? -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |

I have done research on the type of dog I want, based on my present house, and lifestyle. I narrowed it down to two, a plott hound or a Rhodesian Ridgeback. As I was doing my research my dad was looking over my shoulder and telling me about a dog he had when he was overseas that had a ridge, He could not remember the name of the breed but based on where he was stationed and his discription, we figured it to be a Phu Quoc ridgeback dog. I personally have not known any but my father had. NW1 |

Thai Ridgebacks, and the more closely related Phu Quoc (which I have not met) are more alike and definitely not for most dog owners. -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |

I realize that niether one of the these breeds are for first time or novice dog owners. I have owned wolf/shepard hybrids, and rotty's. But given my enviorement. I felt that these would have been my best choice. NW1 |
