Default Why I Shouldn't Read the Paper

There's an ad in our local paper, in the "free pets" section, for a 1yo
female Boxer. I just want to cry, thinking about it. If it were a
male, I probably would have called, but thankfully, it's a female, and
that's such an absolute no-no that I'm not *really* tempted. I still
want to cry, though. I hope she lucks into a really good home.

I just got an automated call from MI about a lost boxer in my
neighborhood. They gave a local # to call if I find "Katie", a fawn
boxer. That was a first! I'll be keeping my eyes peeled more than
usual now!

Not much worse than your dog getting loose. Those poor people. Know
that feeling, up and down every road, calling, calling, the hopeless
feeling. All the things that go through your head, did he get hit?
Did somebody snatch him? Is he hurt somewhere?

I've been lucky that the very few times mine ever got loose, I got
them back pretty quickly. It's fun chasing a running dog up and down
the street... (fun for the dog :-) Catch me if you can!

We figured out that Dakota was adept at slipping her collar, I think
she had a lot of practice before we got her. We need a new harness
for her but every one I tried at Petsmart didn't fit her. She's in
this weird place where the one size is just too big and the size down
is too small. They didn't do a good overlap job.

Anybody know a good place in the U.S. to get a harness?

The Roman harness from Lupine has lots of room for sizing. As far as I can
see, there is a great deal of overlap both ways. What's nice is it come in
different widths as well as different sizes. Plus the designs are cool...
