Hi! I just wanted to thank everyone again and let ya'll know that my
dogs are doing so much better now! They are very trusting of me and it didn't take long at all for them to lose their "shyness." (Especially when I would take them out first thing in the morning and they really needed to go. As soon as they realized they were being praised and treated for their behavior, they lost their inhibitions and became really quick to go. They really are very smart dogs -- their parents are show dogs.) The help I've received here has been invaluable! I'm so glad I found this place! Thanks so much again! ![]() |

There's still work to be done, before the reliving indoors habit is broken and the relieving outdoors habit is well formed, but the good news is that, if you are consistent, it will get easier and easier every day. And then, one day you'll realize that both dogs are reliably housetrained. -- Shelly http://www.cat-sidh.net (the Mother Ship) http://esther.cat-sidh.net (Letters to Esther) |

There have been a couple of accidents, due to my failure, not theirs, but overall, we're getting a really good system down. It's a whole lot easier to focus on their training than to focus on mopping up the floors all the time! It seems like, with the two of them, they are watching each other and maybe that's helping them to figure things out a little faster? One sees the other relieve himself outdoors and get a treat and it reinforces the idea in the other one. I'm very grateful I found this group! |
