Default Sore paw

After a long walk the other day I notice cujo was limping a bit on his left
front.
We got home to descover a little bit of his pad has scabbed off.
We have never had this before, it doesn't seem to bother him that much but
I'm resticting his walks to grass only. (staying off concrete)
Is there any medication I should get or just go see the vet?
It's not that big or anything so would love to cure it at home if possible?

Any idea's?

I tend to think that if you don't have the experience to
judge how serious something is it's probably worth bouncing
it off a vet. That said, here's a current discussion of
just your situation among a bunch of very experienced dog
