I am getting a Papillon puppy in a few weeks. The breeder told me she
will weigh between 6 and 7 lbs. full grown. When I get her, she will be about 12 weeks old and will have been trained on "Wee Wee" pads. I want her to continue to use the pads so that I don't have to worry about not being able to take her outside in bad weather. I want her to use the pads but I also want her to learn to "hold it". I'm sure there are people out there who have small dogs that use either pads or a litter box. Could you tell me the best way to train her. Should I keep the pad out of reach unless she 'asks' for it? I do intend to take her outside for walks, however we get lots of ice and snow and I can't walk at those times. I'm hoping the pads will be the solution. thanks |
