Default Too many housetraining accidents for me...

Hello everyone...

When is it reasonable to expect my puppy to stop messing on the
carpet?

"Christmas" is a lab/collie mix and is almost 6 months old... I have
heard that if we clean the carpets to get rid of the smell, it might
help. I ordered some odor removal from www.pbgone.com today.

My vet said it was the best cleaner he could reccomend...

The only way a dog gets housebroken is
through training.

The only way to train a dog to be housebroken
is through management.

The only way to manage a puppy who isn't
housebroken is through watching them and
preventing all accidents before they happen.

While I would certainly use an enzymatic
product that will get rid of the scent, its
not going to housebreak your dog for you if
you're not doing the management.

Oh crap.

Did I just waste my time with a spammer?

In any case, since we're hawking websites in
this thread, you wanna know what my new
favorite site in the WHOLE world is?

Here's a hint:
I already *almost* bought a utility knife, a
sleeping pad, a tent (twice) and a titanium
cup (thanks!)

I actually would have bought the tent except
that I didn't get my credit card entered in
time. If I had, i'd be the proud owner of a
$200 tent that was onsale for $67, and that
had almost all of the features I was looking
for for my trip....mainly, extra room (3
person tent) with very little mesh, and
double doors (inner mesh and outer solid
door), and a nice big rainfly with a decent
vestibule. Oh and aluminum poles.

I didn't enter my info until near the end
because I spent most of the time trying to
find a single reference to this brand
tent...which while I found a few sites
selling it, I couldn't find a single review,
which I haven't come across before. Even
still, what a BARGAIN!

(that site is gonna have me in the poor house
by the end of the summer, I just know it!)

You did. I just figured you were feeling whimsical or
something.

It's a pretty scary site. I need some new hiking boots and
I've got a client set up so it makes a sound every time
there's a new deal, so when I hear the "pop" I can hie back
to the desktop the client is running on to see if they've
got the boots I absolutely must have.

Anyway, they've got Big Agnes tents pretty often, so maybe
that's a good thing to research. Those are nice!

Oh, and they've got a fan page on Facebook where they
occasionally announce when they're going to have specific
deals, so on a very few things you can know in advance.
The one they announced today is a drysuit - it's a
crapshoot.

Well, I reread my post, and at least I kept
it short and informative for any newbs that
trip over the spam

I downloaded a widget expecting just this
sort of thing. and all I got was somethig on
my Dashboard. So, now I have to remember to
open up my Dashboard in order to see what's
available? I think not.

I get distracted too easily. I was definitely
hoping for a little "machine that goes
'Ping!'" for this one.

They look nice! But man there's a lot of
mesh! My understanding from researching (for
hours and hours and hours) is that camping on
the Playa is like camping in a windy room
filled with talcum powder. If there's mesh
involved, you're sleeping in it, eating it,
breathing it, wearing it. I figure there's no
real way around the dist, but I know I'll
have trouble breathing if its dustier in my
tent as it is outside. I'm intending to cover
up any mesh on my tent, so the less there is
to cover, the better. I'd rather sleep in a
sauna than be choking all night.

The tent I nearly grabbed was called a Ground
Batu. I'd never heard of it, but I figured it
was worth a try. This was the only review (or
even user reference) I could find
http://www.backcountryessentials.net/gear_review/?p=17

Good to know.

Now I never have to leave the house!

Speak of the devil. They have a beaut f a Big
Agnes up right now. $187, and I've only ever
seen that one for nearly $400.

This site is for to die.

I'm using MacSAC: http://hunter.pairsite.com/macsac/.
It also tracks some other, much less interesting stuff but
you can turn those off.

Frankly, that plain old Timberline might be just the ticket.

Now I never have to leave the house!

Ironic, huh?
