Default Looking for some ideas if anyone's been through this

I took Bubba to the vets last week for being lame on his right leg. He
had an acl repair on the left almost 3 years ago. No problems with it.

Changed him from Rimadyl to metcam for a week along with tramadol to see
if anything got better. No change in a week and he's still not able to
walk on it without taking tramadol. So he had x-rays yesterday and it
gave the vet a change to manipulate the leg without him stiffening up
and fighting her on doing it. No draw that she can feel so she doesn't
think that he has a tear in it, no signs of arthritic change either, and
this doesn't act like it's neurological. In the past he's had
neurologic problems with his sciatic nerve but it's never made him lame
on just one leg. It affects both legs and causes dragging. He still
has some dragging of his right leg and always had. I just make sure to
walk him in grass so he doesn't hurt his foot.

The x-ray showed a BB above the joint but not in it so she doesn't think
it's the cause. And he doesn't yelp when you rub your hand over the
area of the BB. I don't remember the orthopedic vet telling me he saw a
BB but then that was over 3 years ago so they probably saw it the and I
just don't remember.

She's taking the x-rays over to State with her tomorrow to have a few
others look at them and see what their ideas are. I'm just stuck on what
to do. I hate to see him in pain and having him drugged up isn't good
either but he can't walk unless he is.

I'm determined to get him feeling better he's a super nice dog and loves
to go for walks. I hate not being able to take him far because you can
just see it in his eyes. He's looks at me like come on I can do it.
Today I left him go around the block and down the alley a short ways.
It's really played him out he's sacked out sound asleep under the table
now.

Celeste
