Marcie is now FDCh-Silver (1000+ points)

She had some challenges yesterday with loose balls. Nothing that cost
points, but still not acceptable. Opposing team was very helpful with
her greenness TG. I've tried all sorts of runback toys and nothing gets
her attention like loose balls. Sooooooo - last night, I got home and
had DH drill holes in 6 tennis balls. I strung them with narrow cord,
knotted between each ball, with plenty of "wiggle" room. While she
didn't go NUTS over the toy, she DID focus on it more than the stray
balls, and got rewarded with string cheese to boot. Last heat of her
last race today? Blew RIGHT BY a stray ball. Ignored it completely!
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Meanwhile, Rudy has some brag of his own. They don't involve titles,
because he was on a green-team that wasn't going to get a lot of points,
but they do involve a MAJOR step for him - running at least of few heats
of every one of his team's races, and all heats in some as well. He
made 2 mistakes yesterday - neither horrible. NO mistakes today. He's
not burning up the mats with speed, but he's doing it right! I was so
pleased with BOTH of them this weekend.

All in all, a very rewarding weekend.

I had tried a lot of purchased ones, but they are more rope-tug than
tennis ball an she just wasn't interested. This one is like a
marionette - I can achieve that "what is my very goofy owner doing now?"
look SO easily!

Thanks. Our club ran 4 teams, which meant running dogs on 1 team each,
box loading for another, doing another job on the 4th. Concrete floors
are rough after awhile (the dogs are on matting more than the humans
are!) and I was exhausted (not to mention the hour drive each way, each
day, leaving 6-6:30ish). The last thing I wanted to do as make a toy on
Saturday night, but it was a good thing to do!
