A friend of mine has written a lovely song about the loss of a pet.

Shame on you.

I don't understand why people feel they have to lie.

It's free to listen too, all the way through, not just 30 seconds like
you get on iTunes. No-one is saying you have to buy it.

What is your problem. It's a lovely song.

Cheers

It's not about the song. It's about your crappy behavior.
This is a discussion group. So, let's talk about your
crappy behavior, and what led you to think that it was
appropriate to post an advertisement.

Its a discussion group about dogs health. A song about the loss of a pet
is entirely appropriate.

An advertisement is not. And I think you know that or you
would have disclosed your business interest in promoting the
song. But no, you lied about that.

I lied about nothing. I have no business interest in this song of any
sort. Advertisements are permitted on usenet.

You're the publisher.

Advertisements are permitted on usenet.

!!! Where'd you get *that* one? If you advertised in a
discussion group from a system I ran, you'd be TOSed so fast
you'd wonder what happened. Not all groups have the same
policies, and just because ads are allowed in groups
dedicated to advertising (*.marketplace, *.forsale) doesn't
mean that they're permitted in discussion groups.

And your behavior here is providing some insight into why
your business isn't more successful and you've got to resort
to advertising on Usenet - you might want to think about how
to avoid alienating potential customers. Your disinterest
in talking about, you know, *dogs* (the topic of this
newsgroup) is noted.

I am not the publisher of this song.

This is usenet, not a 'goup you run'

This is usenet. There is no one granting 'permission'

How many more times must I say this, this is not my business.

And dogs don't die then, or go to the vets to be put to sleep?? - that's
what the song is about.

I say again, what is your problem?

Cheers

Ian
