It's not very clear, but there's one lying on the steps in this pictu http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/bc/amb...c=ph%26.view=t sheesh, whatta URL. Here's the Readers Digest version: http://makeashorterlink.com/?D27B32155 Oh my. Blade never blows like this thankfully. And Clovis of course does not have near the thick undercoat. I brush her out in no time. She is close to 3 minute a day dog. Gwen who can't believe the pile of fur on those steps in that photo |

But one tends to forget. Blade can definitely have piles of fur but nothing like that. At least the double rake is working well. I really need to get one. Gwen |

I do remember that it cost less than $10. g Reason it's so good for Morag is that she's sensitive; using a regualar fine-toothed comb *works*, but makes her unhappy because it pulls. This comb loosens the hair without pulling (mostly- I'll expand on that in a bit), then the shorter, finer-toothed part catches it. No matter *what* I use, I have to pull a bit on her tail and "britches"- but she's not as sensitive about the long hair there as she is about her back, ribs, tummy, and ears. |

This comb loosens the hair without pulling (mostly- I'll expand on that in a bit), then the shorter, finer-toothed part catches it. Its why I use the rake on Kavik too, he hates having his hair pulled by a comb. No matter *what* I use, I have to pull a bit on her tail and "britches"- but she's not as sensitive about the long hair there as she is about her back, ribs, tummy, and ears. For Kavik's pants I use a very long bristled wire brush - he appears to have less undercoat there, so I don't need the rake except during the worst blow. For his belly I use a slicker. Pulls out the extra hair, which is a little shorter there, without hurting. For both the tail and the pants I use a detangling spray, like "the stuff'. Makes the pulling MUCH more bearable for him. You might try some for Ms Morag. -- BethF, Anchorage, AK |

Is "the stuff" made especially for dogs, or is it a people product? --Catherine & Zoe the cockerchow |
