in case anyone thinks that being nice guarantees receptivity.

Because I like to make my own rules, Alison.

And therein lies the problem. So did Hitler, Mao, Castro, Napoleon, Saddam
Hussein, et al. And their underlings were superbly well trained and
obedient, with a high degree of discipline. Was that a good thing?

Except for the dictators: "Not so much..."

You don't say anything worth listening to.

It takes a really small brain to conflate making one's own rules
regarding individual comportment in a harmless Usenet newsgroup, with
mass murderers and bloodthirsty dictators and tyrants making rules
that subjugated, against their will, millions of other human beings.

And then to also conflate that with dog training(!), well, we're
dealing with a infinitesimally small mind here, so keep that in mind.

In fact, and example of the size of Schoen's brain can be found at the
end of the arrow --------------- 0

But many stupid people own dogs. Most do much worse than let their dog
get a little chubby. I've driven through those Baltimore alleys late at
night feeding strays and trapping some. Paul doesn't come close to what
I've seen there.

There are just so many more important things to do other than go after
Paul all the time.

Now that I'm in Florida I spend a lot of time undoing the damage of
idiots who don't understand the basics, like dogs die when a car hits
them and cats aren't something left behind when you move. There is even
an animal mass murderer two doors up from me who has killed my pets and
much more. He likes feeding the cats. He likes to give them antifreeze
to drink too. A few weeks ago he raped a neighbor too. Lovely. She won't
tell the police.

I'll let others be the judge of that.

Here's another. You've posted one pic (2 actually) then refused discussion
of them.

*whatever*.

Your opinion means nada to me.

But thanks for checking in!

I don't killfile but I gather you did me? Whimp.

Char is *not* killfiled for all that we disagree on many things. She still
has value to read and some very good ideas. We disagree only on level of
raw feeding. I don't disrespect *her* but we seem to have reached an even
keel when discussing it. I respect that she feels strongly about this. She
appears to respect that my forays come a bit closer than many on it and went
to the trouble to ask my vet who says done right, it's good stuff. Only
done wrong (which she herself warns of) is it bad.

Hey Char, Cash *LUVs* raw chicken livers. Cat (being a bit odd for a Cat on
this) doesn't.

I'm a firm believer that if you want something really bad, there may be a
dietary lack driving it. Cash's tests show no iron deficiencies. Maybe
they just taste good and are slurpy-fun to eat? Dunno but can replace his
1/4 cup wet with those every few days easy.

If you feel this is the way to get your way across then you miss me and
several newbies who are trying to ask basics. You've got some god info,
but it's wasted if you just spend your time abusing one member to the
detriment of the others who if not scared off, may have a question.

Consider it?

Hi Carol,
Dogman has always been like this and so has this group. It's a shame
because he does have knowledge but his manner puts people off . You can't
force people to listen.

In every group that fails, therer is generally either a core groupthat
doesnt post, or a clique who will now allow free entry of new folks to stay.

It's been a wee bit toasty for me but i believe strongly that we need a
usenet group for discussion of dogs and this was a last gasp of one I could
find. It's got 'issues' but has potential to attact dogs fans again.
Traffic has tripled in the last 2 months and much more spread in ideas as
well as discussion.

If i occasionally get frustrated, please accept it. I havent the patience
of my 4footed friends at times.

I don't know about being nice, perhaps being reasonably civil, however I
agree that it doesn't guarantee receptivity if that person doesn't agree
with the your point.
The problem now is that four years later, while it is said Paul hasn't
learnt or taken any advice from other posters being nice or nasty, he *is*
continually pointing out how badly he has been treated at every
opportunity to the detriment of RPBD.
