Hi,
I know this isn't the correct forum for this topic, but so many people read this group that I thought somebody might be able to provide some help. I am seeking a lab that can determine if some white dog hairs I have are from an American Eskimo or white German Shepherd. I know this may seem like a frivolous post, but it actually is part of a very important case I am involved in, and I am in serious need of such information. Again, I apologize for the OT post and appreciate any help that you can provide. Sincerely, Matt |

You can find labs (Google can find them for you) that will take your money for that, but I (personally) wouldn't put a lot of stock in their results, even with the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR). I wouldn't either. Those expensive tests that supposedly identify the breeds in a mix have turned up some really absurd, extremely unlikely results. |

Not knowing anything about such matters though, I don't know if this would be possible. Thank-you, Matt |
