Default Horners' Syndrome

Hi all,
I just thought I'd ask if anyone here has any experience with this.
Our 4-year old Golden has just been diagnosed, but without a known cause.
I thought she had something like a hayseed in her eye, or had met up with
the/a cat.

Did it eventually improve with time (approx. how long), or not, especially
if at the onset there were no obvious causes?
Did you ever find the cause?
Did you ever take any steps to remedy it,such as any form of operation
(ie-tumor removal) if it was so diagnosed?

It's new to me, and I know it's idyopathic, I just needed to ask.

Thanks.
