So, are you going on a pilgrimage to pay homage to the God[ess] of Dog
Training? Muttley and I saw Victoria at Woofstock when we were there in
September 2009. That was shortly after I was banned from her forum and I was
going to ask her why the moderators chose to use such "positive punishment"
on a human who had only raised questions about other methods. But we did
not, and she only had time for three or four questions from the audience,
before she was to judge a doggie talent competition. Here are some pictures
from that time:

I thought you were banned from the forum for libelling Janet Boss.
I saw her at a similar type of event in Winsdor a few years back but
didn't stay to watch as it
was too hot.

Well, it's not libel if you tell the truth. It's called whistleblowing and
warning the public. But I don't think we need to open that stinky old can of
worms again, do we? The posts where Janet waddled in and complained to the
moderator were very soon after I joined the forum (around February 2009),
and EmmaBeth removed the posts Janet whined about and locked the thread and
added the comment about libel laws. After that I refrained from further
comments about her or "the incident". I never received an official warning.

I was very active in the forum through the summer of 2009 and I was mostly
discussing the upcoming Woofstock event where VS was to appear, and then
when I tried to reply to a PM from someone I had been taqlking to about the
possibility of meeting at the event, I found that I could not access the
forum and I was permanently banned. Maybe the moderator sent me a PM that I
could not read because of the ban. Soon I found a way around it since the
ban was on my IP address which was dynamically generated, so I recycled it
into the pool and now someone else may suddenly find themselves banned for
no reason.

The only thing that possibly might have triggered the ban several months
after Janet Boss complained, may have been some comments I made about the VS
IMOTD TV shows not being as enjoyable to watch as the DW episodes. But that
should not have been a reason to ban my participation. I was always very
civil and I just wanted to present a different viewpoint.

Banning me from the forum was definitely an attempt at punishment of the
highest intensity short of a lawsuit, and if it was because of the
discussion about Janet Boss, the timing was certainly inappropriate and
ineffective. It actually had the opposite effect, as it was administered at
a time when I was behaving in full compliance with their rules. If I had
been given an explanation of the exact reason for their actions, I might
have accepted it and simply moved on to the much better environment of the
Cesar Millan forums. But instead I felt that I was being punished unfairly
and and my reaction was to expose their paradoxical use of punishment on
people while they forbid even the mention of it in their forums.

So, from my experience, PPers are really wolverines in sheep's clothing.
(Wolves are much nicer than wolverines and certainly superior to the
clickeroos and toadies who dogmatically accept whatever is espoused by VS
and prejudicially reject all of CM's methods).

See article below that attempts to explain what happened from my viewpoint.

Apparently so, because the first thing you do next is to "open that
stinky can of worms again."

Six entire paragraphs worth of worms, in fact, plus a link to a web
page, opening even more cans of worms.

I wonder what you'd be like if you ever, just one time in your life,
actually meant what you said? Certainly a much better man, no?

What a maroon.

Nah, I just opened the cabinet and showed you (and others) the can of worms,
and then I showed where the can opener is. Alison was told that it contained
something else, so I just let her know what I know to be in there. It's up
to you if you want to pop that can again.

Amazing. You can't even be honest with yourself.

What an asshole.

Perhaps you were actually banned because they came here and
saw the negative comments you were making about the forum,
and the fact that you were quoting people there on here out of
context? I would look at it more as good management than
punishment.

It was actually none of the above. I was back on the forum a day later with
a new user name and I strung them along in a game where I made up a story
and played them for all it was worth. And it only served to convince me of
their stupidity and fear of any rational discussion of alternate ways of
thinking. Their people management skills are totally contradictory to what
they profess to be the best way to deal with dogs.
